Hey all,

Former graphic/web designer diving into objective-c programming here. I've recently finished the latest versions of the Kochan and Hillegass books on programming in Objective-c. I feel like I have a solid base foundation of the language but I'm just struggling on starting my first app. Neither of those books really dove into using UI frameworks or creating custom graphics/UIs for your own apps

Any recommendations on sites or books that would take me to the next step? I've got some full app mockups finished in Photoshop that I'm dying to start coding up if I just knew where to start.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

I think no book will teach you how to create your own custom UI's, at least, none of em that I found, I had a big struggle there too, googling each component, of how to start, how to subclass stuff like the tabbar at the bottom etc, so you can make your own interface..
So I think you're in for a long shot, if you have more specific questions on how to build your UI etc, head back, and we'll give it a shot.
