I am unable to see 5G toggle on my M2 iPad Pro 11” Cellular. My phone got it though. Why does Apple give step-brotherly treatment to iPads?

Same situation with me
I have even enrolled Beta Version and updated 16.3 beta2 still no 5G support.

Anyone has any update on iPad Pro M2 5G support for India?

It's not available. Apple shamelessly advertising and selling 5G iPad Pro models in India without actual 5G support in software.

Can anyone confirm if 16.4b1 brings 5G to iPads in India?
No. Jio 5G still does not work. 5G toggle has appeared but 5G standalone toggle which is required for enabling Jio 5G is missing. You might be able to get Airtel 5G working but I don’t have Airtel Sim.

Just got off breaking my head with Apple Support. Seems Jio or Airtel needs to first release 5G config settings for iPadOS to get the 5G on. So, no matter if iPadOS 16.3.1 or Betas Network providers need to buck up.

Thanks so much. I can confirm the the latest public beta of iPadOS has the 5G toggle. Hope the RC of 16.4 has the 5G stand alone mode

Jio 5G is enabled on iPad Cellular models from iPadOS 16.4 Beta 3. Carrier is 54.0.1

Apple has removed Standalone toggle which was not really needed.

@kshitijshah Yup. Better 5G speeds on iPad Pro (2022) due to better Antenna Placement and newer 5G modem SD X65.

My cousin who came for holidays is blown away by Jio 5G and admitted that 5G in USA is a big disappointment and Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) video about it was spot on.

Bro can you tell me how to enable 5g ? Steps?
The 5G option should be available in Cellular settings. If it is not, make sure you are using a cellular plan directly from a telecom operator in your country that includes 5G. If you are using a plan from one of the global eSIM providers (eg. Airalo) they often do not include 5G and are often coded for a different country and network than what they claim to offer service through, meaning the device always operates in roam mode and may not be properly configured to fully support the network you wish to use.
