I'm not sure if you can expect to use 3G with this particular case due its use of metal in the case construction. Noreve iphone cases apparently have the same problem. Check out this quote from a Noreve review:
"The magnet isnt Traditions big problem: rather, the aforementioned doozy was Noreves decision to use a hard metal shell this for its rear casing. When we put the plastic-bodied iPhone 3G in Tradition, we saw reception take a one-bar and sometimes more significant hit, enough to take a marginal to good signal and make it unreliable. As literally the only flip case weve seen to date with metal inside, a material that Apple intentionally opted to avoid for signal strength reasons."

I hope others can post their experience with 3G using the Noreve case. I was planning on purchasing the Noreve because it is the only soft leather case using a rail system to hold the ipad (far superior to the typical bezel design), but the lack of 3G reception is a deal breaker. Does anyone really want to take the ipad out of the case just to use it? I hope I'm wrong about this...
