I've kinda narrowed it down to these two. For those of you who have use the apps., which do you prefer?

I only have Notability but I'm very happy with it. It's on special offer now so you might want to download it and just give it a try at £0.69.

I downloaded it earlier today. I just got off of work and have a bit of time to check it out. I've got high hopes.

I downloaded the free version of Audio note yesterday just to have a look and thought it was quite poor - but of course I don't know how it compares to the paid version.

Hmm.. Apparently notability doesn't open ppt files. At least not for me.

Maybe using an app like PDF Provider to first convert the ppt to PDF and then opening in the notes app would work for you.

Yeah, I've been thinking about trying that. I just haven't had a chance. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Well.. I converted the .ppt slides to .pdf, and notability opens the file well enough, however, I cannot annotate the slides--boooo
