Open Logic Express 8 Files in GarageBand 10?

I have a lot of Logic Express 8 projects from my old Mac that I would like to work on in Yosemite. I don't have Logic Pro X.

Is there any way of converting these LE8 files to open in GarageBand 10?

If not, are there any other options here aside from purchasing Logic Pro X? Is it possible to save the files in a GarageBand friendly format in LE8?
