Your guess is as gd as mine :) I'm from UK and Americans pronounce Tomato as Toma-ato ands Potato as Potarto :) So hows a Brit supposed to now lol

It has nothing to do with being a brit or how americans pronounce something. It's pronounced one way, YOSE-EM-MIT-TEE.

how long will this last?

Depends on how much data/size of hard drive, etc. Spotlight always indexes after new/fresh installs, upgrades, etc. Reads the drive so that it can function for searching. After the first index it shouldn't ever be this slow again (unless you decide to reindex).

I was joking around when I was on about me being a Brit and the pronunciation . It's typical Briitish humour lol, that's why I use Gmail for an Apple ID so I can archive stuff I want to keep
