Overheating on iPads too?

Are the overheating problems on iPhone 15 caused by ios17? Are these problems affecting iPads too, or just phones?

Not seeing overheating on M1 12.9, cellular Mini 6 or 14 Pro Max, all on latest 17.

Coincidentally perhaps, my iPad Pro recently upgraded to iPadOS 17 had an episode of overheating while not in use and not under charge.
This has nothing to do with re-indexing as the upgrade happened weeks ago.

It had never happened to me before.
As I said, probably a coincidence, but it made me think.
