.. early-light and shadows - view from the balcony Thursday morning ..
Not an original subject. But this week has been miserably cloudy.
Walked today to the central station and it is the best I could get this week.
Great entries from all of you. Very inspiring. 💪

Just a quick one for now. Went to the museum this weekend and was very fascinated by the shadows of the artefacts. Will be posting more photos soon

Jealous of your sunshine; it's been really gloomy here, and even some snow in the air today.
For your second, if you get that patch of sun again, I'd drop the exposure so that you don't blow out the bit on the floor; it will also cause your shadows to go darker; you can slide down the exposure before you shoot in the phone app. 🙂 That's a lovely little corner to work with.
He's a fun little guy and I like how the light came through the lens and made a bright patch within the shadow.For lack of other opportunities my lens had to suffice again…

Well it seems fairly original to me, given that I don't have heads in rock statues near me! Cloudy days are hard to find shadows, but they are still there. 🙂
Great job making the most of the gloom. It's a great moment too, with the person right underneath the pedestrian signs.
Ooh! Really interesting. Museuam light can be hard to work with, but I like how you used the wall for your shadow.
Pretty gloomy this week, but I got some cornice shadows late this afternoon.

I've posted an image of this statue before. But still, this project keeps me thinking about the theme all week and gets me out of the door with a camera. So even if the images aren't original, it definitely serves its purpose!
Yep! Excellent example of finding shadows when even the light doesn't seem cooperative.
I think I was just dorking around with the camera settings to capture the flowing water.

Here are some more photos for last week‘s theme. I didn’t manage to post them earlier.
No shadows without lights. It‘s not always easy or possible to wait for the perfect light to cast the perfect shadows, but luckily also artificial light sources worked for this week‘s theme. I also tried to take some photos with the sun, but, besides the photo with the shadow of the statue, they didn’t turn out that special, at least not for the theme of shadows.
Just to let you know, I won’t be able to edit and post new photos over the next two weeks, because I’m travelling. But I’m photographing a lot and will post as soon as I get home.
