even though i've been using the mac for a few months now, i found that once you buy one app, you find out there's another app out there you could have used, and sometimes, finding out about many of these apps is quite difficult if you didn't post on the forums about a specify program or something similar. i think the mac guides needs a page that just lists programs by category, like finance software, and cooking software, etc. i think something of the sort is already in the beginner's guide, but i think a more elaborate list that will cover at least most legit mac software should be in here. what do you guys think?

I actually think this is quite a good idea, so I'm making a start on it:

[guide]List of Mac Software[/guide]

i suggest a section of mac maintenance and backup apps. i think most people forget about backing up their stuff sometimes.
