I remember reading around xmas that parallels were offering a free upgrade to version2 when you got version 1, anyone know if it is still running? (i cant find it on the website) thanks

I believe it is - their website mentioned free upgrades somewhere (although this is my interpretation, not that of a lawyer!). The beta's definitely working on my system.

BTW, version 2 is much better than version 1. And the latest beta is much more reliable than the pre-Christmas build.

I would have thought they'd have to provide the upgrade to existing customers now they have the additional competition of VMWare.

The first released version of Parallels was 2.1, so if you buy anything in a box it'll be 2.x, and you can download 2.2 from their site.

All 2.x upgrades should be free, but 3.0 will not.
