I have an external LaCie Disk and I was wondering if there was a way to partition it so one 3/4 stay unallocated and 1/4 into a fat32. Is there a way to do this on OS X 10.4 without clearing all of its contents?

You might need to be more specific. What do you mean by unallocated? If a disk isn't formatted then you won't be able to store files on it. Is the disk already formatted for Mac and you just want to make a separate FAT32 partition? :)

I think he's asking about the latter of the two. Personally, I don't do much partioning with separate formats...in fact, I can't remember if I ever have.
