My father (sadly) dropped by MBA a few days ago and subsequent to that the top row of lettered keys (QWERTY etc.) only works occasionally. Any thoughts about getting this fixed?
I'm pretty hardware savvy, so I don't mind opening the machine up, but it looks like the keyboard is pretty buried. The only thing I can think of doing is: 1) Check that the ribbon cable is properly seated; or 2) Replace the keyboard.
Any ideas about whether #1 is a possible fix?
