Hi all,
I'm trying to decide whether to get a nano 4G, or a touch 2G.
As I'm using the iPod to learn Japanese, it's important to me that I be able to easily pause playback as well as rewind.

Is that possible with both these iPods?

Thanks!

Yes, they are basic functions on both devices.
Thanks so much! I'm very glad to hear that.

Given the refresh cycle of the iPhone/iTouch, I may go with the nano for now... Though the wifi with the Touch would be much fun (can't afford the ATT overage, grrr)

For music applications I would much prefer the nano, since it has hard buttons for all of the standard functions. I find that I never use the iPod function on my iPhone because of this, and much prefer my old 5G iPod.

Thanks for your insight, Danny_w. Your point makes great sense, since the iPods are dedicated, while the Touch/Phone are conglomerations of many functions.
