Hello all,

I know there's a million threads and apps for PDF annotating, but I'm looking for a specific kind. I bought my iPad 2 to replace my tablet PC for taking notes. I'm a grad student who usually sends PDF notes to onenote, then annotates from there. The problem is that my school is incompetent and never posts updated notes. I circumvented the problem of having to write out loads of new information by taking screen captures of the lecture notes, and pasting them into onenote.

I am now looking for a PDF annotator that will allow me to add photos from my photo library into the PDF, and then annotate on top of them. I (unfortunately) purchased iAnnotate 1.5 after reading you can add photos, but sadly it doesn't paste the full picture, only a thumbnail which is expandable. Does such an app exist? Or am I going to have to get really creative here...

Take a look at Note Taker HD. I know you can import a PDF and annotate it. And I know you can add pictures to the app and annotate on top of them. I haven't tried to combine the two unfortunately.

EDIT: Ok, so I just added a PDF to the app, added a picture from my album on top of the PDF and wrote right on top of the picture. This seems to be the functionality you are looking for.

You sir, are my hero! Thank you for your help. You have saved me countless hours of researching apps.

Cheers!
