[phone calls on Mac] Dialing extension or conference code stopped working for me

See screenshot. I love making and taking calls on my Mac. But since upgrading to Sierra I can't get the extension or conference dialing to work. I have to type the number in manually on my keyboard and it works.

Any ideas?
