This is a shot of the moon rising over Rainbow Lake in Colorado. What a great night to be backpacking!

I did not yet have a tripod when I took this shot. It took several tries of propping the camera against rocks and logs before I finally got it still enough for the 30sec exposure it took to capture this.

Took this with my iPhone4 the other day. The waterfall on our pond in the back yard is where the honey bees come all day long for a drink.

You can see its tongue sticking out to get a drink.

Spirit Lake. Mt. Saint Helens National Volcanic Monument.

The light area at the right end of the lake is a "log mat" composed of thousands of logs blown into the lake in the 1980 blast. Harry Truman, owner of Spirit Lake Lodge remained here in spite of evacuation orders. The ridge on the far side of the lake is Truman Ridge.

Five shot pano stitched in PhotoShop CS6.

I do. I always stare at flame, even photographed flame. It has a nice minimalistic quality to it.

Thanks!

I love flame as well - it's kindly special how powerful (=dangerous) it could become if we wouldn't look after it.
