Dear all,

I was wondering if you could help me figure out what's going on.

I was trying for a long time now to play old games like:

Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and even newer ones like POP:Sands of Time, Hitman: Codename 47 and so on, on my iMac using Radeon HD 2600 Pro video card.

All of these games aren't working well, I've tried everything, spent a lot of time trying to get appropriate drivers and make it work. I'm sure there are some of you that have/had the same issues like me, ofcourse using the same video card.

Thank you kindly for all your help, I appreciate it!

How are you running Windows XP? Boot camp or Parallels/VMWare?

Have you tried Windows Compatibility Mode by right clicking on the program shortcut and using Compatibility mode (e.g. Win 98)? I did that in my Win7 installation and it helped with some stuff.

In terms of Mac-exclusive tips, can't think of any. Assuming your iMac meets the PC/Windows specification requirements, there is no reason for it not to work in Boot Camp as long as your drivers are up to date.

What's your definition of running well?

mostly I would love to play my favourite cRpg games like Icewind Dale or Baldur's Gate Saga. how to explain it.. it works slow like if would like to play newest Call od Duty on a old PC. I'm playing right now an old game, Mafia and it works perfectly on full details.

i know that these titles are available for mac, but I already have them for PC. I wouldn't like to spend aditional money on the same title.

I guest I will have to wait untill summer, till I get a new iMac. Hope it works well then!

I'm assuming it's because of my Radeon HD 2600 PRO.

hey there, im getting the same problems that you're facing.
im unable to run cso and warcraft due to grahpics card error.
tried downloading directx and finding a driver for it,
but its still not working.
