I have a WD Mybook Essential Edition external hard drive that is dedicated to the Mac that I am trying to connect through USB to my Linksys router (WRT 610N). I have spent no less than 14 hours on the phone with Linksys, can't get through to Western Digital, and Applecare tells me they don't work with PC hardware. Please help!

Does your linksys device support NAS use? Sometimes the USB ports are just for print-sharing maybe.

Not sure

Don't know if the Linksys dual n router supports NAS use. I ended up sending the external drive back to Staples. So frustrated in trying to find a way to back up music and pictures wirelessly that doesn't involve timecapsule.
