Thinking about buying one of these. Maybe new or used? Hmm
You won't save much getting it used at this point plus you don't know what the previous owner did.
Getting my first DSLR Canon EOS Rebel XS. It's used off of Craigslist, but it's only $100 and I happen to actually have the money to buy it. Comes with the standard 18-55 lens and a battery. Has an issue with the flash popping up, but this I've read is fairly common, and easy to fix.

Getting my first DSLR

I think this is the year I decide to replace my car.
I'd like to move to a small/crossover SUV, I currently have a 2005 Mazda3 hatchback. I'm thinking about the Mazda CX-5 or the Subaru Crosstrek. I'd like to get AWD (I live in VT) and sit up higher off the ground.
Any thoughts on those two? I don't want to go luxury brands, just because I don't want to pay the crazy repair costs and service fees. I've had amazing reliability with my car: only replaced the standard items like break pads, struts, changed fluid. I've never had a major issue like timing belt, etc (I'm at 120k miles).

Very nice. Just been learning about off camera flash tonight at our camera club. The guy had some nice little soft boxes for about £40 that would work with most flash guns. Lastolite was the brand if you are interested.
Got an iPhone 5 on eBay to avoid wasting my upgrade on a 5S because of the iPhone 6 coming soon. It said "mint condition", so of course the sleep/wake button is half dead on it. As soon as I get my money back I'm just going to spend the extra little bit and get a white 5S.

They have German site (for me the closest) so nice to know about them. I don't use my camera for "professional" shooting (i was, years ago when i start working), just me & gf vacations etc. Just for better quality private photos .
Leaning towards the same, though in Red most likely. Hopefully they have good stock come November.
It's either a GTI or an A4. I'm looking at the both right now. Used ones since I can't afford new. Both 2007's and one owners cars.

Pretty much the same here. I leased the last go, and may do that again this time, or may just all out buy the A4.
I'm indecisive at the moment. First I have to see if I can get approved for a loan.

That was my gut feeling. I've wanted one ever since I was introduced to it. The GTI is $12k and the A4 is $11k that I'm looking at.

That's how I bought my first car. I don't need a new car really, I just want a new car. For now I'm just going to save my money. Not having a car payment is the ideal thing.
