All done in Centreville, VA. I actually live in FSU in Tallahassee, FL and I plan on getting a new iPhone 6+ and switch to T-Mobile; will post both Verizon and T-Mo speeds when I'm back in FSU after break.

Noticed that T-Mobile has gotten a lot better for me in North Broward/Southern Palm Beach over the past few weeks.

It looks like they're running on Band 4 now. 10 MHz. 2nd only to Verizon in this market right now.

Does speedtest use a lot of data? I remember on my Galaxy S4 I did a speedtest (using ookla's app) and it used over 90MB in one pop! Maybe I did like a thousand tests and just remember otherwise, but I still swear I only did one test.

The faster your speeds, the more data it will use, since they're timed tests.

It's all usable, but considering T-Mobile advertises Miami as a "Data Strong" area, these are pretty bad numbers. Considering the HSPA+ test was faster than LTE, this all looks like congestion. I imagine they would need a dense macro network to deal with it.

Ft. Lauderdale Beach, FL:

It seems like Broward and Palm Beach are more "Data Strong" then Miami. Tested a few times in Miami recently and got about the same results you did.

Yeah I've seen them get better speeds in the outlying areas than Miami itself. Occasionally faster than what I get with Verizon.

Just want to point something out - time matters. All you folks who live near major metropolitan areas may experience higher speeds later/earlier in the day. The more use the network gets, the slower it will be. My advice would be to try running your tests before and/or after lunchtime & rush-hour periods.

I'm in Evansville, IN one of the first cities AT&T rolled LTE out too.

seriously, are you sitting on top of a tower on the west side of town? I am also in Evansville, and have been battling AT&T and their pathetic LTE speeds for quite some time. I dare you to find a single tower east of Hwy 41 (including band 4 towers) that will get anything over 4mb, much less over 40mb.

attached is the same speed test server you were using, just north of the airport, on a 5mhz Band 17 tower. As a matter of fact, thinking about it again, Evansville only has 5mhz Band 4 also, and no carrier aggregation, so how were you able to obtain anything in the 40's?

I'm actually very very East Evansville. Technically in Newburgh but I say Evansville because most people kinda know where Evansville is at. I have no clue where my tower is located at all lol. The only thing I can offer is that a few months ago we had trouble with not receiving calls.... Discovered our neighbors were having similar issues. Called AT&T and they said to use mark the spot app and that they will get their engineers on it. About a week later we get a return call from AT&T apologizing and saying they made repairs to our tower and all should be well. It's been ever since those repairs that we have gotten insane speed here. Did you also notice I got those speeds with only have four "dots" of signal? Lol. A year ago I lived on the westside and got about 11 down and 4 up. Btw our current insane speeds are persistent throughout the day. I'd call AT&T and let them know.

BTW, AWESOMELY to find someone from Evansville on these forums! You on here much?

i'm curious if they have started upgrading towers in Newbugh then. Last time I was over that way (by Wal-Mart), I was still only getting 5mhz of Band 17, and couldn't find Band 4 anywhere. Have you been in field test mode to see what service you're getting at your house now?

I've tried using the Mark The Spot app numerous times, they just like to ignore me now. The last person I spoke with at AT&T told me they could see all of the marks, but there was nothing they could do about it.

I've never done the field test nor do I even know how to, lol. If you tell me how I will check it out and let you know. Can't believe they are just ignoring you! I'm really surprised they aren't on this.

This doesn't work for me at all. I took screen shots in case I'm missing something. The first is what I dialed and the 2nd is the result after pushing the dial button:
