I have a PowerBook G4 15" 1.5GHz from July of 2004 (almost a year). Recently, I have begun to notice that the display no longer pops up when I press the screen release button to open the display. Also, at some angles it won't hold itself up anymore (but not the normal angle I use). In addition, it feels very weak while tilting the screen up and down and sometimes makes little clicking/creaking noises. I am afraid my hinge will break. Does anyone have any thoughts to offer? Thanks!

(oh yea from the back of the laptop the right side of the screen hinge thing sticks out a bit more when closed)

If it's not over a year old, Apple might be able to fix it if they don't think it's something you did to it.
