- Only x86 architecture is and has been seriously flawed since its inception in a number of areas.

It's evolving, with x86-64 most of it's quirkiness has been removed.
Besides that it's flaws obviously aren't harming it in comparison to powerpc when you look at the performance and heat. Really the technology as advanced so much that x86 is able to function as well as powerpc due to the lower sigifiance in die space for the legecy requirements of it.



How is this Xenon processor in the xbox different to the G5? does it have the same number and same type of execution units? Does it have out of order execution? Is it a 3 core G5 or some simplified powerpc?

Like I said, it uses the PPE. Less execution units, in order.
