Is there any way to put selected preference icons in the doc? For example, I use my print & scan all the time and would like to have it on the doc instead of always going into preferences.

You can put System Preferences in the Dock, but not individual preferences.

Actually, the previous poster is incorrect, it can be done - but only to the right hand side of the dock (by the trash icon).

Open finder and navigate to /System/Library/PreferencePanes/

You can then drag whatever prefpane you wish into the right side of the dock - when clicked it will open system prefs at that prefpane.

Neat trick! Thanks! I was trying to drag from the System Preferences, which doesn't work.

Ah! Perfect! Thanks!
