Problem with incoming calls

Hi,

I noticed that in iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 after picking up incoming calls the in-call screen is not displayed as in iOS 6 so I cannot turn on the speaker immediately.

I always have to hold the phone to my ear so the screen turns off and then again on before the incall options are displayed. Really bugs me...

Is that a bug or intended?
