Problem with network

I'm having a problem with my networking. I have my MBP and mini connected via a ethernet cable to transfer files. I have had no probs so far with this. Today I try and drop something into the drop box of the MBP so I can get it on the mini but the file is not showing up on the mini drop box?

Ok I really need help...for some reason I can mount my MBP on my mini but not vice versa. When I try to delete the mini's alias on the MBP it says I do not have sufficent privlidges? I thought that might fix the problem. I'm so lost :(
