Problems with Java IDE's?

As soon as I installed Pathner and the new Developer Tools, the NetBeans IDE I've been using to write Java doesn't run anymore. It opens and the icon comes up in the dock, but the program doesn't come up. I also tried jEdit and jGrasp and they won't work either. Is there a fix for this?

The only odd thing I'd found was that the Developer directory had been deleted. Once I installed developer tools and re-installed jGrasp v1.6.2, it worked fine.
