Question about a power supply for an older iMac G5 20 inch with ALS

hey guys I have an iMac G5 from 2005 and I believe the PSU is bad.. Is it recommended to buy a new power supply and swap the old one out and put the new one in and see if that works ?

The LED #1 still lights up when I plug in the cord and when I try to turn the computer on from inside the LED#2 momentarily turns on
