Question about G5's (Dual 2Ghz)

    When the G5's first came out. The Dual 2Ghz machines, were they 2, 1 ghz cpu's equalling 2ghz, or 2, 2ghz cpu's equalling 4 ghz?

    I'm not a mac guy, so i have no idea

    Nope, Two PPC970 CPUs from IBM -- each operating at 2GHz each.

    Which adds up to -- Two PPC970 CPUs from IBM, each operating at 2GHz each.

    Apple generally doesn't play the addition game like they do in the PC world, since it's not always true.

    Just like the memory is dual channel DDR400, which equals double wide DDR400 -- not DDR800.
