question about when a new iPhone goes on sale

I'm planning on buying the iPhone 6S when it becomes available, I'd like to order it online, no contract, so does the site have the no contract option to buy the phone on the release date? I don't know why I keep thinking you'd have to wait a while for that option on the online store

I believe you can. I remember the iPhone 5 and 5S/C being available without contract from day 1. I don't know about the 6 since I wasn't shopping for one, but I think it was too.

In the past it took some time before apple would sell an iPhone full price (off contract) but with the industry moving away from contracts I hope that the option of getting the iPhone off contract will be easier/faster.

I have always been able to buy a non-contract phone from Apple or my carrier ATT.
