Quick apps question

Hey all, quick question. I do not own an iPhone right now but I do own an iPad. I plan on purchasing an iPhone in the fall but there are a few iPhone apps on sale I want to own when I do get it. If I buy it now on the iPad, will I be able to use that app on the new iPhone when I get it? Thanks.

I don't think so. I think you may have to purchase it twice. but i'm not positive.

Yes, as long as they are not iPad only apps and you use the same iTunes account.
