    Here's a quick simple javascript benchmark.
    It just times how long it takes your device to run a simple math function, runs for a few seconds at most.

    Just use the default values:
    http://www.itwriting.com/primetest/countprimes.html

    Seeing some interesting results on
    different devices , OS versions and browsers...

    Be interesting to see diff between iPad mini,1,2,3 and 4 and OS 5.1.1 and 6.
    Anyone have a Surface RT or other Win RT device to try...

    Post your device, OS, and browser, they all seem to matter :

    Here's some results :
    iPad 4 iOS6 Safari .... 6.554
    Galaxy Note ICS Chrome .... 5.945
    PC 3.5GHz, Win8, Chrome .... 0.283

    2010 iMac Core i7 2.80GHz, running Windows 7, IE9 - 0.566

    iPad 1, iOS 5.1.1, Safari - 4.52 (!!!! Tried this several times, always get 4.5)
    iPad 2, iOS 6.0, Safari - 11.699
    iPad 2, iOS 6.0.1, Safari - 11.398
    iPad 3, iOS 5.1.1, Safari - 3.98

    iPhone 3G, iOS 4.2.1, Safari - (hmmmm, test page wouldn't load :D)
    iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Safari - 5.21 (4S is slower than iPad 1 :confused:)
    iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1, Safari - 7.081

    You might want to add that you're counting to the default 1,000,000.

    iOS6.0.1
    Launch day iPad 2 - 11.275
    iPhone 5 - 7.218

    Interesting, looks like iOS 6 , has slowed times considerably .
    An iPad 1 on iOS 5.1.1 beats the iPad 4 ?

    strange to see the ipad 3 running 5.1.1 steadily beating the ipad 4 with ios6


    hopefully an update will improve java performance on the 4
