iPod Quicktime Pro exports white movies?

I've done about ten searches on this topic, and I can't find the answer.

I have a movie I want to put on my iPod. It began as an .avi file, and I converted it to an 320x240 .mp4 file with ffmpegX.

It played fine in iTunes, but wouldn't transfer to the iPod. So I used the Export to iPod feature in QT Pro, but the resulting movie was just solid white.

The audio works great, but the video isn't there.

Any ideas?

Try reconverting the original avi using something like iSquint
