    hi, my friend is wanting to gat a mac but the only thing that is stopping him is that he needs a 3d modeling programme for mac. does anyone know of any decent ones?

    I haven't used any of these myself, but there is VectorWorks which looks like a pretty good package. Also, Parasolid, the libraries used for SolidWorks and a bunck of other packages was just made compatible with the Mac. Now someone needs to port their front end to the Mac and there will be a lot of other options.

    I had heard a longtime back that Autodesk was thinking to port AutoCad for mac. Don't know how far it reached...
