Region Code and a @#$% Error Message

I am entitled to change the region code on my PowerBook DVD player for a fifth and final time. My window even tells me "this is the last time you'll be able to change your region code".

Fine. But when I click to make the change, I get a new window that says

There was a problem changing your region code. Error message -70001

And it happens every single time. I've looked all over for a meaning to this error message, but can't find one.

Any help?

an update, i'm trying to do the same thing but i have three changes left. so that means it's not because you've run out of changes. i'm just throwing that in here so no one thinks you've miscounted region changes.
unfortunately apple doesn't have this error message in their support page at all.
