I had an iPhone 5 that had a power button issue so I had to send it in. I cannot function without the iPhone so I was able to upgrade to iPhone 6. My iPhone 5 was named BobsiPhone and when I got my iPhone 6 I named it the same thing. When i got my iPhone 5 back from repair I changed the name on that one to CathysiPhone in settings>general>name. When I look at the setting on the iPhone 5 I see the correct name. I have a Smartthings hub at home and are using the two iPhones as presence devices to let the Smartthings hub know when we are home for security etc. I set up a my phone "BobsiPhone" as the first presence device and when I tried to set my wife's iPhone up within the Smartthings app is claimed that this device is already a presence device. Is there somewhere else to rename the phone?
