Hello everyone. I am about to get a first Mac(Book Pro).

Last time I was playing around in Finder a little bit with Copy Paste to replace a same name file.

Since I am a Windows user I am used to that a dialog box besides asks Are you sure you want to replace this file also shows the sizes of both files and the dates when they were last modified.

Is there any way to see that in OSX?

This is what you get in OS X 10.8.2 when you to try to overwrite a file:

I dont think there is a way to display file information such as size, modification date when overwriting. Unless there is a 3rd party add on someone knows about?

^ This is true. That said, the phrasing in the dialog pictured above DOES change. Sometimes it will say, "A newer item named..." or "An older item named..."
