I was reading and ran across a thread somewhere (i cant remember) that to restore back to 6.1.4 all you have to do is go to itunes and click "restore iphone". Is this correct? I saw on another thread they where talking about it but it was a 4s I think and mine is a 5. Thanks

My iPhone 5 became carrier locked to Canada Bell and Im on AT&T. Neither Apple or ATT know what happened. Still have a bricked phone. Some people had no problem. Good Luck!

You have to hold the power button and home button until the iPhone restarts into a blank screen, then connect it via USB to your PC and just hit restore.

I have a macbook so just put it in DFU mode and hit restore. I dont have to download the ipsw file correct? And im on Verizon
