If I burned a few videos to a DVD using iDVD is there some way I could extract those videos back to my mac (perhaps to edit and burn them to a diffrent DVD)?

There is software where you can rip a dvd to an mpeg or that, then you can get an MPEG decoder and rip the audio and the video. If you just need to rip it, use Disk Utility. Some programs will let you use the VIDEO_TS folders to edit video and that. Only if its writable storage. - I kinow that from Windoze, dunno if it may hold true for mac.
