...which application is better: Senuti or iPodRip? Also, what does it mean when I get a pop-up saying to "eject the image" after moving the icon to my applications folder? Do I just exit out of it? One more thing: Are applications that I put in the app folder supposed to be on my desktop? Sorry for the noob questions, guys. Thanks in advance.

P.S. This is my first post from my ibook! Yay! party for me! :D

Senuti is free and has a slightly higher score on macupdate. I use it myself it's the best. As far as placing apps I keep my favorite apps in the dock and the whole applications folder in my dock for easy access, or you could just use the keyboard shortcut to access you applications folder. No need to put anything on your desktop.

I'll second dan-o-mac's recommendation. I keep a copy of senuti on both of my iPods, and have a copy on my PowerMacs at home and at work.

As far as the eject thing goes, are you trying to drag the application to the apps folder, or the disk image?

Another one is IPODRIP. Its really good, if you want to preserve the playlists. I havent used the other one though.
