So, it occurred to me that we don't seem to have a specific thread for tips/tricks and apps etc. Things maybe more specific to the rMBP, rather than the normal MBP.

I'll start off: No time icon on the battery status?! Come on..
(Yeah, okay, maybe not a tip.. but it bugs me nonetheless!)

It is, but it only shows "Icon Only" or "Percentage". My last MBP running Lion also showed "Time". Sucks :(

This bugs me too. It's nice to see the estimate after clicking on it, but I would prefer having that time displayed like it was on my older MBP

Is thread supposed to be about MBPr tips or is it another thread about people complaining about features the MBPr doesn't have?

I don't have anything neat or cool per se..
However, if you click on the launch pad you can see the icons pop out at you. I thought that was stunning and gorgeous especially on the rmbp.

Enjoy! That's all I have for now. :D

I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive!
I'm currently looking at a $500 hit on the wallet with foreign CD/DVD releases this August. Haven't bought the app here yet, but it's a lot cheaper than what would happen in less than 60 days.

:p

That battery info app looks quite cool, might try that out.

Does anyone know how I can get notifications when the graphics cards change from discrete to the Nvidia one? I'm sure I saw someone post it, but I don't remember where...

Is this not an option in system preferences? I feel like I changed it in there, but also use iStat these days so could be wrong.
