I just installed FreeBSD on an old PC I had, got Samba enabled and working but it seems to not retain the "created date" of files when I transfer them from my iBook (OS X 10.4.2) to my samba share on this server.
Is there a better protocol to use besides samba? Is it possible to make a WebDAV server on FreeBSD? Or is there a way to tell samba to maintain all file attributes?
I just want to make sure all file attributes and metadata, etc is maintained when I backup my data to the server. Any ideas???
