Prior to IOS7, you used to be able to search your email based upon the TO, FROM, SUBJECT, and entire message. How do you do that now? It seems as if the search searches all of those things. I'm looking for the ability to limit/filter my searches with those specific criteria.

    Seems like it's a general/universal search now.

Mail search just searches all criteria now. You get the same result with spotlight.

shame you can't do like "from:dave" like you can in some mail clients

Also, when I run a search I see two copies of every email and the emails do not appear in order. What gives? Anyone else noticing unusual problems when searching mail?

Search is still there, you just need to drill down a bit further.

I tried that --- it doesn't limit the results to just the from. It also includes emails with the word I searched on in other results, too.
