Hello,

I already have on the iPad version of iOS long time and it is not the fastest. So I would like to reinstall. I do not want lose JB and I would like to do SemiRestore that preserves same version iOS and JB.

Specifically, I want to SR iOS 7.1.1 which now I have.

Does anyone have any experience with this? It works without a problem? Where can I download the right tool?

Is it The first one which the Google did find ? https://semi-restore.com

Thanks

There is also a beta version of Saurik's Cydia Impactor, which is said to work up to v 9.0.2.

I wouldn't use that version...there is another one on Cydia, which I think supports IOS7.

Just a word of advice... Don't use iCleaner to remove language files, or Cydia Impactor will take days to complete.

A few months ago I used remove languages in iCleaner.
I would like to use a tool that preserves Jailbreak (not remove and next do again). So it is SemiRestore, right?
Which should I use for iOS 7?

To my knowledge, SemiRestore does not restore system files

Yes you can, but......you have to understand, it's not always successful...there is no tool out there, that can give you 100% guarantee...

Which way do you think has less risk ? SemiRestore or Cydia Impactor ( with following making JB-> so there is two critical point to fail )? I do not want to fail and then have to make the DFU with update to the latest iOS .

I prefer CI, but that's only me. To be quite honest, no person in the world should make that decission for you, sorry.

Where is Cydia Impactor? Looking on Cydia it says not compatible with 9.0.2 - its version 0.9.17 - am I missing something?

Hmmmm, are you sure that your problem has anything to do with jailbreak?

Did i understand right that Cydia Impactor is only for iOS 8.1-8.4?
So for iOS 7 i do not have option and I have to use SemiRestore?

You do both directly on the phone. The difference is, iLexrat retains jailbreak, whereas Cydia Impactor cleans everything, including jailbreak.
