I've managed to connect a mac to our active directory. I would like to be able to login as an AD user but it won't let me.

I found these instructions here http://www.brightrev.com/how-to/apple/28-authenticate-to-mac-os-x-via-active-directory.html

At the moment in Drectory utility I have the following services...

Active Directory
BSD Flast file and NIS
LDAPv3
Local

I seem to be missing the other from that page like SMB/CIFS

I've tried login in as domainname\user but it doesn't work.

Tanks for your reply, I think I found the problem, I made a local user with the same username as the active directory user. When I logged in as someone else in AD in logged in fine!
