Is it possible to use OSX to tap into XP so I can share a mate´s internal dvd burner on his PC. I worked out how to share files but not much else.

I want to burn a few dvd size disk images of my external HDD before sending it off, and I dont know anyone here with an external dvd burner.

Any tips, apart from getting more useful friends?

Thanks

Why not plug the external HDD into the PC?

If it's HFS/HFS+, there is a driver for Windows which will allow you to access it. It's shareware, I think.

Usually burning across a network is risky in that you can make a few coasters. Either connect the drive to the machine directly or copy the information locally to the eXPee machine and then delete when you are done.

Thanks, but
can I burn my disk image on XP? With OSX Im just like one click away with Disk Copy, and I only need it to recognise a dvd burner rather than a cd burner.
