I'm so confused right now. I'm considering buying an Apple TV. I've been looking on the iTunes program, under the TV series section, and what I don't understand is, why don't they have all seasons of programs? Like if I search for 'A Touch of Frost' which is a good series in the UK, it only displays 4 series, which are series 10, 11,12 and 15. I don't understand why they don't have series 1, 2 and so on. It's not just happening with this search, it's the same with South Park, Only Fools and Horses and more, am I doing something wrong? Or is it just the guys at Apple couldn't be bothered to add the rest of the series.

Can someone help me out please?

Apple would put up whatever shows they have the rights to.

It could be that they don't have the rights in the UK to the other series/seasons.

Sometimes a series gets sold along the way to a different production house, distribution rights, etc. and they holder for a given time period won't agree to a given deal.

I checked, and for "A Touch of Frost" I only saw series 7, 10, 11, 12, & 15.
