I was sat typing away in my iBook that just turned 1years old. And suddenly i hear this buzz. I look to my left, and then to my right. And then I realise, it's coming from my iBook. It's from the left hand side at the front, not hot at all but still a clear 'bzzz'. I am running the hardware test on it now. But is this a serious problem or a sort of one off thing I shouldn't worry about?
Cheers, Jon

EDIT: I should have mentioned. It is not constant. Just heard it 5 times max each time for a couple of seconds. And I hope its not hard drive failure, I really don't have time for this.

left hand side front is where the HD is located. back up ASAP.

Well I have backed up and did hardware test and it seems fine. The noise has stopped so just gonna keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for help tho!

my ibook likes to make noises from time to time too, but it all works fine. SMART status is verified, it's running smoothly and all that. nature of the beast i suppose.
