I'm looking for a software buyers guide, much like Rumour's Buyers Guide (http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/), but for every program ever. Or at least the important ones (photoshop etc.)

Does anyone know of such a web site?

Yeah, I I know it's tricky, but I'm trying to do it for work. It'd help me loads to know wheen different things were coming out, or were expected. And I don't reckon I'm the only person in the world who has ever thought about it. I mean it's dead easy with some stuff - some developers seem to have an 18 cycle - but other software can be less predictable.

Ah well, I'll have to get researching myself. I'll be starting with the obvious (Illustrator, Office, etc.) but you never know, it might build into a useful resource.

And I reckon I'll have it doen before the Powerbook 15" changes from 'Don't Buy - Updates soon' ;)
