macOS Text display with mouseover on NSTextField

I have a NSTextField with a somewhat reduced capacity (the number of characters that can be displayed even if more characters do fit on it). Is there any way of triggering the appearance of a text window showing the complete text when mousing over the original NSTextField ? Is it possible to do it as a method of the NSTextField ? Programmatically (e.g. by defining a NSTracking Area ?) ? Does the mouseover method exist in any view control ?
