Has anyone had any experience with the belkin snapshell case. I was considering this but am unsure.

thanks

I have not used their iPad cases, but their iPhone cases are excellent. I would have ordered from them without even shopping anywhere else, but their site still makes no mention of the new model anywhere. All they have is iPad 1 and 2.

----------

I talked to the CS department today and said they should have them in stock this weekend and there's a good chance we can have them on the 16th if you preordered today.

I said why not? It's the style case I love and if it doesn't come on time I can try the case I have for the iPad 2 or just run over to best buy and scoop something up for a few days. Then of course return it :D

Best news I've heard yet today. I will probably not even unbox my iPad until I have the screen protector and case ready to go. Don't even care as much about the screen protector as I do about not scuffing up the back of the iPad. Luckily I have 3 screen protectors left over from my iPad 2, so I have 3 shots at getting one on perfectly. (crossing fingers)

STM has confirmed they are indeed redesigning their Skinny case for the new iPad. I used this with my iPad 2 and there's no doubt in my mind that this is the only case you need.

It's very thin and hardly adds any bulk. It protects the back unlike the Smart Cover and has magnets so it can do the sleep/wake thing just like the Smart Cover. Also, it can be used as a stand.

Here is a video:

YouTube: video

You can check them out here. No option to buy it yet but they are coming! I'm definitely gonna wait for them.
im curious if that case holds well and locks when you put the sleeve/cover on the back without putting the tongue in the flap or whatever it is called. So i can hold it with 2 hands while gaming. does it work? experience with ipad 2?

I'm looking for something that's easy to pop out and "go naked". :D

Giggity?

:D

------------

Back on track now, I think I'll go with the Lexington if they're not all sold out yet and can still get it on the 16th. I'm hoping to take it to work that night and would like to have it be able to stand up for watching movies.

Long time lurker here, first post :D

This will be my first iPad and I've been combing over all the accessories post since launch day. As of today, I have narrowed down the case to one of these 4.

1. Concerti from Moshi. No price or release date yet :<
http://moshimonde.com/productDetail.aspx?group=32

2. Folio Classic from Sena Cases. $99.99
http://www.senacases.com/apple/new-ipad-3-cases/folio-classic/

3. STM Skinny. $39.99
http://www.radtech.us/Products/stm-skinny-ipad-case-with-stand.aspx

4. Toblino 2. $24.95 No news of updates that I know of :<
http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Convertable-Multi-angle-iPad2-3G/dp/B004TM1JBE

I've read reviews about the STM and Toblino but I have not heard anything from anyone uses cases from Moshi or Sena. Thoughts? Obviously there is a price difference between the cases but since this will be a long term investment, I honestly do not care too much about the price. More worried how how long it will last me without falling apart.

Asked earlier, but anyone with the Bear Motion know if it has a place to hold a stylus? Seems to be one of the best reviews cases on amazon and the price is hard to beat

I'm curious as well what the inside of that case looks like. I purchased one for the my iPad because of the great reviews for the one on the iPad 2. I would love to know however if there is anything inside the front cover. I would love a place to keep a few spare papers and maybe a couple business cards. I'll be using my iPad mostly for business (from 8 till 5 at least, then it becomes a toy for the rest of the evening) and things like this are always helpful.

Is there a folio type cover that will offer all around protection?

The iSkin Aura 2 looks like it provides good protection.
http://www.iskin.com/ipad2/aura/#intro

I'm trying to decide between the Aura 2 or the Incipio Lexington.
http://www.myincipio.com/new-iPad-Cases/Incipio-new-iPad-Lexington-Hard-Shell-Folio-Case.asp

The Aura 2 looks great but bulky compared to the Lexington and I'm not sure how I feel about it completely covering the bezel. Opinions?

Anyone see the ipad2 versions in person?

I ordered a Royal Blue STM Skinny for my new Ipad :) I wanted the berry but after looking at pictures, it was hard to see if it was red or a more deeper wine color, which I did not like and want to risk ordering and not being happy with purchase.

lol, I purchased it hoping that it will be a deeper wine color instead of a bright color.

Lol hope it comes out deep red! I would have preferred a bright red like the smart cover :(. Oh well, Royal Blue with a white iPad should look really good!

What's a good case that's thin and only protects the back of the iPad 3? I don't want a one piece case that will that will be hanging off to the side while I am using the iPad.

Thanks

Preordered a Targus Slim at Amazon. Looks like a nice design. Not fond of the Apple logo cutout, but not a big deal to me either. Also have a Porenzo Intellistand on order. There are times when I like a little bigger case for protection.

I ordered a custom Portenzo (http://www.portenzo.com) case yesterday. I talked to them and they said it'd ship 5 days after the 16th (so they can make absolutely sure it fits the new iPad).

If you don't like that cut out, why not get the STM Skinny case, which is pretty similar - and cheaper.

I actually like the cutout, (and no tab thing like the STM), ao am leaning towards the Targus. $50 though, sheesh! Almost rather go naked, and spend another $50 on upgrading to the 64GB.

Well, my search is over for finding the right case for my iPad 3. I just ordered from Cyber Acoustics model # IC-1003BK for my black iPad 3 or new iPad (or whatever you want to call it??). Starting today there are only 2 new cases available for the iPad 3 and they are the IC-1003 models; one in black and the other in red. I really can't find a better case. My distant 2nd choice is the Evio Harmony case.

Even though the following video from Cyber Acoustics is for the iPad 2, check this video out and I think you'll be impressed.

Like I said, Cyber Acoustics has 2 new cases for the iPad 3 starting today at the following website:

http://www.cyberacoustics.com/app.cfm?fa=products.list&categoryID=5

My case cost was $39.99 with free shipping and no tax.
